The website www.art4change.info is a networking tool for artists, activists, development-organisations, and various groups and individuals working with socio-political issues around the world. The idea of the site is that new ways of approaching - and working with socio-political issues globally can be developed in cross disciplinary cooperation’s between art and various fields and professions. The www.art4change.info website is a platform for exchange of experiences in the field of art and collaborative works for social change. The site is meant as a tool for networking between people and organisations with interest and experience in art and social change, and people confronting issues of globalisation and development. We welcome contributions and initiatives to this site - like: articles, contact information, project proposals, invitations for cooperative projects, discussion and debate. Art4change would also like to link to your site, if we have common interests. We believe that artists can play an important role in corporations within development networks, both globally and locally. We believe that art can be used as a platform for freedom of speech. Art can be a tool for raising social issues, highlighting taboos and challenging structures in societies. We believe that art can be used as a political tool within local and global cooperation. We see art as a vehicle of possibilities for development organisations to forge cooperation and become more independent in their means of expression.
